Peek A Boo

Christopher has a new favorite activity he loves to play peek a boo. He is so cute he puts his little hands in front of face and peeks at you. Our little guy all of a sudden has become a picky eater. He is really giving me a hard time eating the last few days. He can't afford to lose any more weight he is already very tiny. He also likes to take your shoes and hid them. You never know where you will find your shoes. Today I went on an interview for a third grade position. Hopefully I will hear something soon. I really don't want to leave Christopher but we need the money. I will miss him so much he is my life. When I left to go on the interview this morning he was crying it truly broke my heart, but I do know that this is really what I need to do for my family.

Yeah For My Dada

This has been a very busy week in the Christian house this week. Christopher is trying to make animal sounds. When Brian does the elephant he copies him. He just noticed this morning that he has a shadow, and he was playing with his shadow for the longest time. I also noticed that he is understanding the movies he watches. You hear him laughing at the funny parts. This afternoon when he was napping I was holding him. He was sound asleep all of a sudden he started to laugh out loud. I would love to know what was so funny. Christopher wants me to let everyone know that he is so proud of his Dada for being accepted into the police academy. He knows that this has been a dream of his since he was a little boy. He hopes to be like his Dada one day. We both are so proud of him and love him!!! We thank him for providing a better life for us.

15 Month Check Up

Today Christopher had his 15 month checkup with his doctor. Our boy is healthy and growing strong.He weighs 20.4 pounds and is 30 inches long. He gained 2 pounds since April. The Dr was very happy about his weigh gain. He was such a trooper today he got three shots. My heart just broke for him, but I know that he needs them to grown strong. There are some issues that we need to watch over the next 3 months. One is Christopher's thyroid , his blood results showed a little problem. We have to go for more blood work next week. I am not looking forward to that. Also Christopher should be saying more words than he is. I thought he should but then I thought it was the teacher in me and I was expecting to much of him. I thought it could be from him being in a Spanish speaking house for 11 months the doctor agrees with me. So we are going to give him 3 months to show improvement. If there is not improvement he will need to see a speech therapist. I am sure our little guy will be just fine after all he is our shining star.

New Tricks

Everyday with Christopher is a new and exciting adventure. Christopher learned two news tricks today. The first one is he has figured out how to take off his diaper. I was cleaning the living room and he was playing in his room. The next thing I know he is laughing so I look up in his hands is his diaper. He throws the diaper in the middle of the floor and he was off running. So I put it back on him and two second later it is off.He is such a little clown. Each day I see his personality coming through more.I see Brian in him the way he laughs and his happiness. He has been laughing alot these days. God bless his heart. The other thing he is able to do is he can blow his little nose. I hold the tissue for him and he blows his nose. He was so proud of himself when he did. These are the things that make motherhood a joy. He loves clapping for himself and now after he claps he bows. This child is to cute for words. Right now he is napping and I am sure getting his energy for an eventful night.

Getting Big

I wish I would have been a little more computer savvy and started this when we began the journey for Christopher. It was some journey but so worth it. It truly made me a stronger person,and to know the love of a child there is no greater gift. So we will start with Christopher almost being 16months.Since we have him home he has grown so much physically and emotionally. He is still having trouble sleeping but he will work through that at his own time. He is getting so big. He is trying to talk a little more. He is babbling and laughing alot the last few days. He loves to clap and yell "YEAH". It is the cutest thing because he is so excited. I am truly blessed to have this child in my life. He is the prince of my heart forever.
